ARUNDELAIR CHORUS AT A GLANCE
Entertainment of choice in the greater Annapolis area
Arundelair Chorus is an organization of women who sing and meet regularly to practice, perform, socialize and have fun. We currently have 24 women of varying ages from all walks of life, singing together, learning and growing, and entertaining the Annapolis community with our uplifting music.
We are a proud chapter of Sweet Adelines International.
Empowering and elevating women
As a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, we are part of a world-wide non-profit music education organization. Our mission is to educate women in the artistic art form of Barbershop harmony performance. In doing so, we give opportunities for self-development and creative expression.
Serving the Annapolis Community
We sing and entertain audiences throughout the greater Annapolis area, bringing fun and energetic performances of popular music from the 1910's through the current day. Find us at public festivals and events, at community service group meetings, in senior living communities, or anywhere a song is needed.
An International Champion
Our Director, Jenny Harris, is a member of the Sweet Adelines 2018 International Champion Quartet, Lustre. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Sweet Adelines International. She loves to sing, but even more so, she loves to share what she's learned with other people, and she loves to support other singers in their quest for creative expression.
"The only thing better than singing is more singing.”
During the worldwide pandemic of COVID-19, the Arundelair Chorus is taking a break from rehearsals in person.
But we're still meeting virtually! We're gathering together each Tuesday evening at 7pm on a Zoom call to have a voice lesson, work on our music, and learn more about our Barbershop art form. We're also using our Tuesday night Zooms to stay connected.
We'll be back at in-person rehearsals on Tuesday nights when our Governor tells us it's safe to do so.
Until then, we will stay home, stay healthy, and stay #SweetAdelinesStrong.
